Pools & Swimming
Our Pools
Certified Red Cross lifeguards are on duty at all times. Water safety is stressed for all ages.
Each day, all Day Camp and Specialty Day Camp campers have the opportunity to use our pools.
Exploration Camp groups have scheduled pool time in our leisure pool. Exploration campers with advanced skills have the opportunity to swim in the main pool if they pass a qualifying swim test.
Activity Camp and Specialty Day Camp campers have swimming as one of their choice options. Swimming in the large main pool is offered multiple periods daily. For select periods, the leisure pool is also open to campers who are not comfortable in the larger pool. Campers must pass a swim test to use the deep end and slide.
Leisure Pool
The 1,200 SF leisure pool with depths between 6” - 2½’ is used by Exploration campers who are not quite ready for deeper water. These campers play in the water daily with their counselors. For select periods, the leisure pool is available for Activity campers.
Main Pool
The main pool is 25 yards in length with depths between 3½' - 8’. All campers MUST take and pass a swim test to swim in the deep end and use the slide. Colored wristbands worn by swimmers identify areas of the pool in which they are allowed.
